Such a Gary fan girl!

WOW!!!!!!

Having such a fan girl moment!! In m last blog post I put up my thought and pics of Gary and then shared it on Twitter for fellow Thatters to take a peek. And who should tweet me about what I wrote & the pics….Gary Barlow himself!!!!

Thank you Gary for making my night!

Last night Eliot Kennedy also tweeted in response to the comment about my hubby shouting ‘whoosh its  behind ya’ to him (its a Steelers chant he wrote)

Gary Barlow live at Sheffield City Hall

There is just something so special about seeing Gary Barlow solo. I am a Take That obsessive and love all of Take That but Gary just goes that extra mile to connect with his fans. I was lucky enough to see Gary at the Royal Albert Hall last year as the Princes Trust concerts and that was amazing. Then he announced this tour and Sheffield was on there…I just had to get tickets! By some good fortune I managed to get row A tickets (4 rows from the front) and near enough centre stage. I just couldn’t believe it when we took our seats to find we were right in front of Gary’s piano where he spent a lot of time!

The whole night was just absolutely amazing. Gary just as that special something and I love the way he captivates a crowd. I loved ALL of it, there was not one aspect if the night I did not love but these where some of the stand out bits:

* Pray – complete with Garys dancing!

* The tv tunes medley with Peter Kay and garys facial expression (of kinda like ‘wtf?!? I dunno where this is going lol) – the things legends are made of (this also made my hubbys night!)

* Singing ‘Everything Changes’ with Eliot Kennedy – Gary clearly as a lot of love and respect for this guy!

* Garys version of ‘Candy’ right from first hearing this sung by Robbie you could see Garys influence on the song – I loved Garys version!

* ‘Sing’ there is just something about  that song I really love

* Garys cheeky jokes and winks – he really does have a wicked sense of humour

* Garys smile – he just seemed so genuinely happy to be on stage doing what he does best

And to top of the night we got the stage set list which I will now frame alongside my ticket for that extra special memento of the night!!!

Robbie Williams – Live at the O2

Wow!!! What a show! I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Robbie Williams at the O2 on Saturday 24th November. It was defiantly worth the hassle of travelling down to London. Robbie was on top form! This was the first time I had been lucky enough to see Robbie solo having missed out years ago as I was a poor uni student at the time. I did see him on the progress tour in Manchester and that made we want to see him solo even more. And he certainly did not disappoint. They only disappointing bit was that I missed him signing with The Captain (Gary Barlow) as he did that on the Friday night. Oh well I am getting my Gary fix tonight as I go to see his solo concert.

I just cant pick out what was my best bit…there were so many. Robbie was at his best from start to finish. The new song ‘Hey wow’ is defiantly one to get the audience going at the beginning and ‘Let me entertain you’ is just a classic opener. Robbie voice on losers was so good….hopefully all of the doubters have been proven wrong now! Although dedicating ‘Angels’ to his daughter was enough to melt anyones eye. He really is a fab Daddy to ikkle Teddy.

Robbie is back and he as defiantly taken the crown of pop back!

Despite been sat ‘up in the Gods’ thanks to have a decentish camera I managed to get a few decent pics which I have uploaded for your pleasure!

a changing target

The other week I hit my target weight of 11st2. When I joined Slimming World back in January I thought it would take me ages. I did not really know what size/weight I wanted to be. I just did not want to be fat anymore. So I worked out my target as 30% of my body weigh lost. A fortnight ago I hit that. However I am still not happy with the way I look. Don’t get me wrong – I am a lot happier than I was. When I started I was a size 22. Now I am about a size 12 (or a 14 depending on the shop).  My main problem is I just want a flatter tummy so clothes fit better. I don’t want to be too skinny. I am quiet big in the breast area so that would just look unbalanced. Plus I still want some womanly curves.  So I have changed my target. I have set it at another ½ stone off which takes it to 15st8 and gives a total loss of 5st.

When I get there though then what? I will I be happy enough to stay at it? Will I want to change it again? How long will it take (well it is coming up t the party season after all!). Talking of parties its going to be such a struggle over the coming months. It all started last weekend when I was away in London with the hubby to go see a concert (Robbie Williams). 3 days of been off plan! Although there was a lot of walking and ice skating involved so hopefully that minimised the damage. I tried to make the best choices where possible but it was just so hard with eating out all of the time and getting hold of fruit to nibble on.

That’s where the struggle started and it will continue; tonight I’m off to another concert (Gary Barlow), Saturday its our bike clubs Christmas party night/gig, next week our Slimming World Christmas meal, the week after I have two Christmas parties (one for work and one for my voluntary work),  then there is the annual night Christmas night out with the girls, and a friends birthday party. And that’s without even thinking about Christmas eve/Christmas day and boxing day. I have therefore resolved that if I cant stick to it enough to loose weight I need to focus on maintaining so that I don’t start 2013 heavier than I am now.

1. Add all of the ingredients together in a microwavable mug.

2. Whisk together

I got this idea from my consultant and figured I would give it a try. It does taste much nicer than it sounds! I ate it straight out of the microwave whilst it was still warm.
